Christmas is over...now what?

Sooo Christmas is over:(
Well I hope everyone enjoyed their Christmas as much as I did!
It's always fun when you get to have all your family in the same place for like the whole holiday season and then when you throw in all the good food, gifts, hearing the Christmas story and memories it ends up being ..
**The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year!!**

Well this year was certainly full of memories that I'll carry with me for the rest of my life:) 

billions of laughs and sooo much food lol

Sadly tho..after Christmas is over..it kinda means that you're gonna have to eventually take all the decorations down and pack all the music away, well this year after that happens I'm determined not to start feeling depressed (I don't know about other people but I tend to get the "after the holiday blues") but I'm going start occupying myself with other things. I'm going into this New Year pumped!!
I am still currently working on all of my New Years resolutions but when I have them All down I'll share a couple with you:) I have so many this year but I'm gonna try to keep the important ones in sight this time:D

So I would love to hear some of your New Years resolutions:)

Snow!

Coming from Sunny San Diego, I don't ever get to enjoy snow. I am going snowboarding for the first time though! I've been skiing before, so this will hopefully be a breeze. (yeah right)  Last year for my brother's wedding there was snow in Washington, got to enjoy that with some besties (joy and jeanne) ^_^

Finally Got it!!!!

I've been wanting a new comforter for ages and when I went to Target about 2 weeks ago I saw it but I don't I guess I thought I'd wait awhile and maybe see if it went on sale or if I could live without it lol 

Well I couldn't wait :D
I went to target the other day and got it (which it did happen to go on sale but I think I would have gotten anyways even if it hadn't) and went right home and put it on my bed..pretty happy with the outcome I do say so myself:)
It's a light gray with dark purple AND it's reversible:) the other side is just all the dark purple.
I know it doesn't match our rug but I'd kinda like to replace that one sometime in the near future (finances allowing) a little more shag in there would do that room wonders I think lol :)

My very first football game eveeeer! ~I've been missing out!;)

Hello Bloggers!
So big doings as of lately..me and some of my siblings have been wanting to go to an NFL game, well mainly just the Seattle Seahawks:) BUT it was like monday night and my brother calls and says that there are some cheap tickets for the coming Thursday and wanted to know if I was up to going. DUH! Yeeees!
So thursday we drove down to see the game. We were like 15 to 20 mins late because of traffic but still made it there before the end of the 1st quarter:)

The game was unbelievably great! we were like in some of the highest seats in the stadium but it really didn't feel like it cuz I don't know..maybe I was just not used to being any closer so it felt close to me ? yeah whatever lol  But yeah the Seattle Seahawks WON! yeeeah! this is the very first football game that I've ever been to so it was extremely exciting for me when they won.
Funny fact tho is that not even a week before we went I was complaining to a friend about the fact that all the guys are always talking about football and it makes it hard for a girl to join in the conversation..at least for me seeing how I really don't have much football knowledge! oh and that changed by the way...I can now say that I 100% know what a touchdown is!:) and I'm really excited to start getting into that now!:)

So yeah that has been the big news as of late..trying to find more time for the blog but between all the christmas parties, work and special meetings (and of course football too;) but yeah
Christmas time just seems to get that way...one of the many reasons I love the Holidays!!! :)

OH! yeah duh. so I posted the video above of the Seattle Seahawks Band taken right after the game. They took it out to the front and did some winning numbers:) Crazy cool! the video doesn't do it justice I think..the energy and spirit in the crowd was crazy amazing!:) enjoy it!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Hope everyone had a wonderful thanksgiving, ate lots of food, had lots of laughs, and made warm memories. I'm thankful for a lot of things, and there are still a lot of things that I take for granted, but nevertheless I am grateful for them. One thing I am thankful for, or at least 2 things I am thankful for are these two individuals in Washington. They are the prettiest, sweetest, funniest, kindest 2 girls you will ever meet. Who are they? Some of my best friends that I am honored to be considered their friend. Feels like I've known them a lifetime, but every moment with them is just too short. So blessed God put them in my life, actually it's pretty amazing how God blended our lives together. Love you Jeanne and Joy!!! :)

Chair Remodel!

Hey Everyone!
So I thought I'd blog about this remodeling of my desk chair:) Well the chair that was at my desk was a black stool (you can somewhat see it in the first picture) that was too high, so nobody could actually get their legs under the desk which made it to were people had to lean over which was not easy on the back.
well my mom found this chair on craiglist (it came with a desk but that was used in another area in the house)  but as you can see it's pretty nasty looking but it was just the perfect height!
So mom gave it to me and said I could do whatever I wanted with it...so I painted it!
Well I painted it the first couple of coats and then kinda left it sitting in the workshop and kinda forgot about it lol but mom was great and finished painting it and found this awesome material for it and gave some couch to it and it has worked out soo wonderfully!
anyhow..just thought I'd share:)  

ugh! it took quite a few coats of paint to make it look completely
white which is why I got lazy with it...I mean when you're not
seeing any progress it's hard to stay excited about it lol
oh well, my bad! :P

The End result! :) so happy with it and it is SO comfy!

~A Wedding Blunder In the Black Hills~

So the latest read:) I was extremely excited when I saw this and I was hurrying to to finish a different book I was on just so I could get to this one:D
soo I got done with my other book and started on this one..I was so into it that I couldn't even put it down. It was actually kinda pathetic, but like I say, when you get those books that are really good it's just reeeally hard to put it down haha
Well I got it done in like 2 days..that's not normally how long I take, usually I end up spending a week cuz my schedule won't really allow me too much time to leisurely read. I was sooo into the whole book, it was sweet, cute and I just enjoyed it all around....Untiiiil the end:/
I was extremely crushed:( I read that whole thing expecting a beautiful ending and it hit me with a tomato:/
Needless to say I was so mad! and also needless to say I do not recommend that you read this.
well actually I guess you could but just don't expect a grand finish.

uuh when I think about it, not really sure what everyone else's idea of a grand ending is so I guess I shouldn't  say that I don't recommend it. But yeah now you know what I thought of it.

Still keeping my eyes pealed for good authors! So any ideas please feel free to share:)

Well since we're doing a blog we might as well do it the right way..thought we might share recent reads and how we liked them:)
So I've been really into reading this past summer..dang I must have read like a billion HA jk (do you get it? it a joke cuz of the book^) anyways no I seriously read like probably 10 to 15. yeah yeah I know that's not really a ton but for my schedule and for having so much happening this year I thought it was considerably well!

So more about the book! I really did enjoy it. First book I've read by this author and I was not disappointed at all. Now I don't know if this is the case for everyone but I really do judge a book by it's cover front and back..I like to read the description on the back of the book and then when it has a cute picture
on the front of the cover it does make me want to read it:)

So rather then me tell you the gist of the book and probably totally spoil it for you by telling you all the good stuff and forgetting to just tell you the basics, I just copied and pasted this description from Amazon

Ah hair is so annoying and unpredictable sometimes:/ ever have a bad hair and then you just mess with your hair at night and it's like perfect? seriously! I have that happen all the time.

So I did this kind of a research to see what women's hair has been like through the years..makes me quite happy with my hair now ;) But yes, I will warn you now that this post is going to be really long BUT bear with me here and check out how much women's hair has changed through the past 200 years..kinda weird.
I started in the year 1800 and ended in 2010..kinda went with every 10 year thing ya know? OK lets get started..:)

One thing I do like to think about when I'm just thinking "how in the world were they able to do their hair like that every day??" weeeell they did have servants that acted as their hairstylist too:) soo cheating :) jk

Soo excited for this year! Getting the cold weather clothing out of storage and getting all of it organized..

You ever have those seasonal items that just lay all over your closet? With me it's scarves..soo I came up with a solution:) Take a look! 

Scarf Organizer!

So I went to Amazon and found this purse rack for behind the door..you just hook it to either end and attach your purses. Well I decided since I already have a spot for my purses I would try this..And it works and it saves SOO much room in the closet!
ANYWAYS! this is supposed to be about fall rite? ok so I've been totally getting in the spirit...

Pack Rat...

So I'm sentimental, and unfortunately I hold onto things for a long time. Even if its little things that are useless and that I never use, I just get attached to them where I don't want to throw anything away, I feel like I'm wasting it or something lol. So today, and the past couple of months I've been doing gradual "spring cleaning". It feels great to get organized and get rid of junk! But sadly, this makes me buy more things..can you blame a girl?!?

This is my new white jacket I got at the Pink Zone in California when I was there last:) really love that store uuhh but they don't have one here or online :/ what a bummer!
so yeah I got to wear this to work but when I got there I realized that that was a stupid idea..long white sleeves reaching into a bin picking up dirty books :O soo needless to say I didn't want to get my jacket dirty so I pulled the sleeves up almost to my elbows (I really looked like a freak lol) but hey I didn't get it dirty! all my coworker just thought I was ridiculous but whatever:P

Shopaholics Unanimous...

Okay, so you're addicted to shopping, or at least it is a frequent activity you partake in (to sound less harsh). You're closet is filling up fast, you complain about the lack of closet space. You start running out of hangers, you "borrow" some from your brother's closet. Clothes are piling up on the floor and the hamper. You' ve forgotten about some shirts you had. You've got 10 shirts in the same color. You try to get rid of some clothes you don't wear anymore, this only encourages you to buy more clothes.

Ladies, has this happened to you? Tell me I'm not alone. ;)

What to wear.....hmmm

So tomorrow is the 10 year anniversary of 9/11...and I'm thinking I should probably wear something patriotic. ahhh it feels like I just went through having to find a patriotic outfit for the 4th Of July...oh well. So anyways I'm left with the same problem I had for the 4th...I really don't have any patriotic clothes and believe it or not I really don't have red, white and blue outfits :/ So that is the problem I am being faced with and I'm just wishing I didn't have to work today so I could have gone shopping and bought a whole new outfit for the occasion haha
That's the best part about not having the right clothes you need...you get to go buy them :D
worst case scenario is that I would have to wear what I did on the 4th...not sure why that would be bad but I'd rather not have that happen :)

So I'll post a picture tomorrow and show you what I ended up going with, buuuut until then I guess I've gotta get to the closet to find something :P

Giraffe!

So, Joy and Jeanne, the giraffe you guys gave me, his new home is in my car, for now. lol Giraffes are one of my favorite animals. God's creatures are amazing, so this is a little reminder of God's profoundness. What should I name him?

The Newest Addition!

Ok soo I've been wanting a new camera for so long and I finally got one as a graduation gift from my family. Well turns out that the camera I got wasn't quite what I wanted and there was some trouble with the screen..:/ bummer..
WELL I was shopping around on Amazon and saw this Canon camera that was a steal so I decided to go for it and just buy it :) Well I got it this afternoon and I am sooo in love with it :)
Amazon is a God send for sure! and now I'll have a camera for taking awesome pics of all my other cool things I find on Amazon ;)
So anyways here's a pic of it..it's so small! I love it!!
