Hair Through the Years

Ah hair is so annoying and unpredictable sometimes:/ ever have a bad hair and then you just mess with your hair at night and it's like perfect? seriously! I have that happen all the time.

So I did this kind of a research to see what women's hair has been like through the years..makes me quite happy with my hair now ;) But yes, I will warn you now that this post is going to be really long BUT bear with me here and check out how much women's hair has changed through the past 200 years..kinda weird.
I started in the year 1800 and ended in 2010..kinda went with every 10 year thing ya know? OK lets get started..:)

Incidentally..This is pretty much my dream hair:)
SO sorry again that it's so long but it was really fascinating to me how hair has changed so much through the years. Fashion too for that matter, but I was looking more at the hair..
One thing I do like to think about when I'm just thinking "how in the world were they able to do their hair like that every day??" weeeell they did have servants that acted as their hairstylist too:) soo cheating :) jk

~My favorite hairstyle of all of them (besides the last..) would have to be 1800...HA just kidding lol
no I would say that I'm a huge lover of the styles in the 1940's. What's yours?
Well there we have it..a loooong cool post:) thought I'd share tho:) Hope you've all had a great week!

~Joy:)

p.s...this def made me happy with the hair I have. I'll have to keep this in mind for when I'm having one of those days were I wish I was bald haha jk

  1. SO interesting! Thanks for posting. I think about that too how styles have changed, and hair styles, what will we look back on when we have teen age kids, etc.. I always try to stay away from "fads" as because they eventually go out of style and usually are impractical and ridiculous. I do value fashion, but I want to buy ''ageless'' clothes that I can wear in the future too.

  2. I know! sometimes I think how "oh yeah we're totally stylish these days" but then again that's what they all thought in their own day..
I was just looking through some pics from early 2000 and I was really surprised how it's changed SOO much in a decade:/
I just hope my kids don't do what I did to my moms pics from when she was growing up lol
